Julie's Pins and Needles

One Block Wonder

This is a quilt made from using 60 degree triangles cut from one piece of fabric on the pattern repeat of the fabric to form new and interesting shapes and patterns.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Due to the complexity of the pattern we suggest only intermediate and above take this class. The need for accurate cutting and attention to detail is a must. That being said a very confident beginner with several quilts under their belt will definitely have the skills needed.
Materials Included: none
Requirements: The amount of fabric needed is determined by the size of the repeat in the pattern on the fabric. (For example, if your chosen fabric has a 24" repeat *which we recommend* then you will need 5 yards of fabric. 4 yards to be cut on the repeat and the remaining yard for the border around the quilt showing off the original fabric.) Please stop by the shop with any questions you might have for picking your fabric. We have ways of auditioning different fabrics to see what the quilt may look like
